Partnership Education Presentations
Feb 1, 2017
The Partnership Education program is based on a personal storytelling model. Being able to listen to and talk with people who have real personal experiences helps others in the community to understand the nature and prevalence of chronic and severe mental illness.
These presentations are a very effective educational tool – for students, for people employed in mental health, or for those who work daily with the public.
Our Partnership Education presentations include a panel of three guest speakers – a person with a psychiatric diagnosis, a family member, and a mental health professional. The three guests are presented as a team and each describes their own personal experience with mental illness.
Looking for a different type of presentation? We can create tailored mental health workshops and presentations for your community or organization. We are pleased to offer public education sessions for schools, colleges, Indigenous communities, community agencies, and local businesses.
If you have any questions about our public education opportunities, or for bookings please contact us.
The Partnership Education program is presented in collaboration with BC Schizophrenia Society and the Vernon Mental Illness Family Support Centre.
